In 1985 Mackenzie Alexis was born.  My college friend Dan K. gave her a Teddy bear.

I used it in a painting I did.

36 years later, Mackenzie is in the process of moving.  The old Teddy is with us until the move is complete.  Here it is a couple days ago.

A real Toy Story story.

Dan, by the way was my Pledge Son in the fraternity we were in, and roommates my last year.  He is from Buffalo, New York and is in my fantasy baseball league.  Kube went on after IWC to obtain his Ph.D. in chemistry and worked for a Kansas City firm that, if my memory serves, made the Mucinex line of cold medicines.

He retired a couple years ago in Oregon.  We are both lifelong Met's fans.

Welcome to Still Struggling In BFE

The other blog, Existing In BFE, was sort of vandalized amidst my becoming a bit weary of it all.  The daily posts took its toll as well as some unneeded commentary during the election, so I decided to chuck it and start anew.  Existing In BFE lasted about 10 years and I have no intention of having this grow so long in the tooth.  It will continue to display pictures I find interesting with the occasional essay of my thoughts.  Politics will also play a role since I deem this nation to be teetering on brink of the sane and the insane.

Comments may be made to the blog and to me personally, if it is civil and flattering.   Oh, OK, it can be negative, too, as long as it is reasoned and contains a smidgen of logic.  I'll edit out the moronic Cult 45 stuff.

So, with all that said, here we go again.
